The challenge of Adidas

For the renowned sportswear brand, Adidas, the challenge was to make sure its employees knew more about the company’s environmental commitment, communicating the brand’s sustainable values internally and raising staff awareness of the circular economy and the protection of the seas from plastic pollution.

THE SOLUTION

The strategy proposed to Adidas

It was included in the program schedule of the initiatives already organised by the company to raise awareness of employees and customers on the subject of sea pollution, and whose flagship event is “Run for Oceans”, a race organised on World Oceans Day in June. For some time now, the brand has also been committed to promoting a circular production system that prioritises the use of recycled materials for the packaging of new products and aims to reduce the consumption of virgin plastic. A meeting focusing on three themes – climate change, health of the oceans and the Mediterranean Sea and plastic in the seas – presented by the LifeGate editorial staff, was a valuable educational moment for Adidas, which communicated its sustainable policies to employees and shared its green production strategies aimed at reducing the consumption of polluting materials.

THE RESULTS

A major operation

The operation was very well received. The event promoted the sustainable values of Adidas and raised awareness among the 50 participating employees about the issues of circularity and the protection of the seas, in an original and effective manner, with the help of targeted quizzes to stimulate debate.
